Saturated Solutions

In science, students have been mixing together ingredients to make different solutions.  This past week they have been making SATURATED solutions, first with salt, then citric acid.  We added solid components one spoonful at a time to 50 ml of water until a precipitant formed in the bottom of the bottle.  Students then filtered their solution to remove any extra solids.
